Eine Paddan-Boot Tour ist die perfekte M\u00f6glichkeit G\u00f6teborg vom Wasser aus zu erleben. Die Tour f\u00fchrt durch die Kan\u00e4le unter 20 Br\u00fccken hindurch bis zum Hafen. Die Wetterprognosen f\u00fcr die n\u00e4chsten Tage ist nicht besonders gut und so beschlie\u00dfen wir gleich am ersten Tag eine Tour mit dem Paddan-Boot zu unternehmen.<\/p>\n

Als Paddan-Boot werden die extrem flachen Ausflugsboote bezeichnet, die in den Kan\u00e4len und im Hafen verkehren. Rasch wird uns der Sinn dieser Boote klar. Viele Br\u00fccken sind sehr niedrig und h\u00f6here Boote k\u00f6nnten nicht unter diesen durchfahren. Eine der Br\u00fccken ist so niedrig, dass man den Kopf direkt auf die Knie legen muss, um nicht oben anzusto\u00dfen.<\/p>\n

W\u00e4hrend der Fahrt erz\u00e4hlt uns ein Guide viel \u00fcber die Geschichte und die Sehensw\u00fcrdigkeiten, sowie einige Anekdoten.<\/p>\n

Paddan-Boot Tour<\/h2>\n

Ausgangspunkt unserer Paddan-Boot Tour ist Kungsportsplatsen. Das Boot folgt dem Vallgraven entlang des Tr\u00e4dgardsf\u00f6reningen, einem der vielen G\u00e4rten G\u00f6teborgs.<\/p>\n

Beim Einbiegen in den Kanal am Slussgatan sind die alten Schleusenanlagen gut zu sehen.<\/p>\n

Weiter geht es vorbei an Brunnsparken, dem Rathaus, der deutscher Kirche und dem Stadtmuseum bis Sternpiren, wo der Kanal in den Fluss G\u00f6ta \u00c4lv m\u00fcndet.<\/p>\n

Hier liegt auch das alte Zollgeb\u00e4ude. Ende des 19. Jh. wanderten von hier aus mehr als eine Million Schweden nach Amerika aus.<\/p>\n

Flussaufw\u00e4rts hat man einen guten Ausblick auf die im Schifffahrtsmuseum liegenden Schiffe. Auffallend ist der 83 m hohe Skanskaskrapan, der Skanska-Wolkenkratzer. Wegen seiner abgeschr\u00e4gten Spitze und der roten Farbe wird er von den G\u00f6teborgern auch Lippenstift genannt.<\/p>\n

Offiziell wird das Geb\u00e4ude nach dem gleichnamigen Hafengebiet Lilla Bommen genannt. Davor liegt die st\u00e4hlerne Viermastbark Viking, die uns besonders gut gef\u00e4llt.<\/p>\n
