Wir sind auf dem Weg zum Flughafen. Osch liegt auf einer Meeresh\u00f6he von ca. 1000 m und Bischkek bei ca. 750 m. Sie wird vom Naryn, einem Nebenfluss des Syrdarja, gespeist. Das Staubecken mit der 215 m hohen Staumauer an der Grenze von Kirgisistan zu Usbekistan f\u00fchrt immer wieder zu Unstimmigkeiten wegen Energiepreisen und Wassermengen zwischen beiden L\u00e4ndern.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Im Sommer gibt es im Unterlauf oft zu wenig Wasser, im Winter zu viel. Das \u00fcberfl\u00fcssige Wasser flie\u00dft im Winter in den Aydarsee in Usbekistan, den wir sp\u00e4ter noch besuchen werden. N\u00f6rdlich davon erreichen wir die Tiefebene des Flusses Tsch\u00fci. Manas ist der mythische kirgisische Volksheld, dessen Taten im Manas-Epos beschrieben werden.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Der Flughafen diente von 2002 bis 2014 als Luftwaffenbasis f\u00fcr die NATO und die US Air Force. Die Basis war f\u00fcr die Versorgung der Streitkr\u00e4fte der westlichen Allianz in Afghanistan zust\u00e4ndig. 5,5 Millionen US Soldaten wurden \u00fcber den Flughafen Manas nach Afghanistan ein- und ausgeflogen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Am Flughafen werden wir von Dasha und dem Fahrer Sergej abgeholt.
