Die Stadt wurde komplett in h\u00f6heren Lagen neu errichtet. Hier wurden einige der \u00e4ltesten Fossilien eines fr\u00fchen Affenmenschen gefunden.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Am Eingang der 8 km langen Qutang-Schlucht befinden sich die Ruinen der Daxi-Kultur, und hier wurden die Reste eines vier- bis sechstausend Jahre alten Dorfes aus der Jungsteinzeit ausgegraben.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Die Qutang Schlucht ist die k\u00fcrzeste, aber auch die sch\u00f6nste der drei Schluchten. Extrem steil fallen die Felsw\u00e4nde ab. Was am Fluss zu sehen ist, sind Kopien.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Der Kuimen gilt als der h\u00f6chste Berg der Region und \u00fcberstrahlt die schmale Passage zwischen Hubei und Sichuan-Provinz oder neuerdings Chongqing, nachdem diese aus Sichuan herausgel\u00f6st wurde.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Deshalb nennt man diesen Teil der Schlucht das Kuimen-Gateway.
