Der Weg f\u00fchrt steil bergauf an den Schatzh\u00e4usern vorbei. Das wieder aufgebaute und restaurierte Schatzhaus der Athener sticht besonders hervor.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Der Apollon-Tempel mit seinem m\u00e4chtigen Sockel, in dem das Orakel, die Pythia \u00c4thylen-haltige D\u00e4mpfe einatmete und dabei in Trance geriet und ihre Wahrsagungen vollbrachte, die von den Oberpriestern interpretiert wurden, beherrscht die gesamte Anlage. Hier wurde Politik betrieben, die Schlachten beeinflusste und \u00fcber das Schicksal von St\u00e4dten und ganzen L\u00e4ndern entschied.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u00c4hnlich wie in Olympia fanden auch hier alle 4 Jahre Wettk\u00e4mpfe statt. Die musischen Wettk\u00e4mpfe fanden im 5.000 Personen fassenden Theater oberhalb des Apollon-Tempels statt.
