After our first exploratory tour through Lulea, we arrive at check-in at the Clarion Hotel Sense.
Clarion Hotel Sense

The Clarion Sense Hotel opened in 2014. It is in the very center of the city, within walking distance of the pedestrian zone. Across the street is the Kulturens Hus, a conference and convention center.
If you turn left to the Skeppsbrogatan, you reach the Lulea Bay with the pier for boats and small ships. The Lulea airport is a 10 minutes drive away.

It is early in the morning and the rooms are not ready yet. But after the night on the train, we do not just want to store our luggage.
We long for a shower and want move into the room. The friendly receptionist manages to fulfill our wish. While we wait for the room, we can enjoy the provided coffee and tea.

The lobby has a modern and pleasant design. In the evening, the lamps light up in different subtle colors.

Our room is very spacious and modernly equipped. Free fast WiFi connection is self-evident. Also otherwise the hotel stands out due to modern technology.

The next morning we enjoy the excellent breakfast buffet on the 9th floor. From here, we have a wonderful view over the Lulea Bay and the city center.

More InformationThe hotel staff is always friendly and ready to help. The rooms are very clean. A restaurant, 2 bars, and a Spa area complete the offer.
We felt at home and can only highly recommend a stay at the Clarion Hotel Sense.

We hadn’t even heard of Lulea until reading your post! We Googled it – and it looks like a very pretty city in Swedish Lapland :-). Anyway, we stayed at the Clarion Collection Hotel Havnekontoret in Bergen, Norway, recently – and loved the purple colors and Art Deco look. Clarion seems to have a good reputation in the northern European cities :-). And they must love the color purple for their decor…
Thank you very much for your feedback and the tip of the Clarion Collection Hotel in Bergen.
Lulea is a great place to visit. We will publish more about our experiences, stay tuned 🙂
It was our first visit in a Clarion Hotel but definitely not the last.
