After our return from Lulea, we still want to stay in Stockholm for some days and visit some sights. Prior to our departure, we stayed at the Radisson Blue Waterfront as it is right next to the Stockholm Waterfront Convention Center. But now the conference is over and we do not have to stay near the Conference Center anymore. Stockholm is expensive and we look for a cheaper hotel.
We book the Generator Hostel Stockholm in Torsgatan 10, which has only opened a few days ago. It is close to the center and is easily accessible by bus. This stops at Barnhusgatan in front of the Skolgarden of the Norra Latin City Conference Center.
During the summer, you can have a drink or eat good food here in the Garden Bar & Grill. On the square stands the Maskrosbollen fountain which reminds of a faded dandelion. One built it according to the sketches of the Swedish politician Anita Modin.

Actually, we are skeptical about Hostels because we prefer to have a private room and a bath which we do not have to share with other persons. The generator Hostel in Stockholm can offer all this.
On the ground floor is the spacious reception area with cafe. Adjacent is the bar Hilma, where one serves food and drinks. Here, you can start the day with a good breakfast.

More InformationOr, you go there with your laptop to work or to meet with friends and acquaintances. Besides that four professional and versatile conference rooms are also available. One in the ground floor and three in the first floor.
On the first floor, there is also a large chill-out area with TVs. And you find a self-service laundry with washing machines and tumble dryers. The self-service laundry was also one reason to book here.
The rooms are relatively small, but have everything you need. You look in vain for a TV in the room, but we did not miss it.
We enjoyed our stay in the Generator Hostel Stockholm and can recommend it with a good conscience.
