The Almaluu Yurt Camp is located in the middle of nature, far from settlements. As we come out of the yurt at sunrise, veils of mist rise and open up the view of the mountains of the Tian Shan.

The Issyk-Kul lake is 500 meters away. In eastern direction are some paddocks. At any time, you can book horseback riding trips. To the west are some gardens with apple trees.

Overnight accommodations for 20 to 30 visitors are available. A large yurt serves as a dining hall, another one as a kitchen. Everywhere life awakens. One cleans the cars, others go horse riding, and in the kitchen, one prepares breakfast and the meal. We were able to test the exquisite food already the night before.

There are enough washing facilities and showers. Some individual yurts even have their own bathroom with toilet. Unfortunately, the other simple toilets cannot be recommended.

In the camp, you find play facilities for children as well as grill opportunities from clay bricks for the adults. The hosts are very helpful and extremely friendly. The daughter also speaks English very well.
We make a small flight with the drone up to the coast of the Issyk-Kul lake. From the air, you can guess the size of this inland water. The crystal clear water makes a very good impression.

More InformationIt can also be seen, how different the landscapes are already in the smallest area.

A visitor enjoys the silence and captures the landscape with watercolors. A yurt camp is the ideal place to relax and slow down.

The Almaluu Yurt Camp offers a special service for its guests. The truck in front of the entrance gate is a sauna. When required, one drives it to the beach, so that you have direct access from the sauna to the lake.
In the evening, a guest with his guitar presents Russian songs at the campfire. An ideal ending to the day far away from civilization.

A tip for overnight stays in Yurt Camps. In general, it is always advisable to bring your own toilet paper and wet wipes.

That’s not you doing the watercolour is it, Ursula? I’d love to be able to create paintings like that in a notebook.
Unfortunately not, Alastair, it was one of the guests in the Yurt Camp.
I would also love to be able to create such paintings.
