We came to Jyrgalan at the right time to attend the summer festival.

The Jyrgalan summer festival is an event with cultural, artistic and sporting elements. Singers, musicians, and dancers perform. One shows craft products and makes a fashion show. There is a Manaschi and games, involving the spectators.
Highlights are horse games, such as horse wrestling and the national sport of Kyrgyzstan Kok-Boru. At Kok-Boru, one rider has to conquer a goatskin and put it down at a defined place.

Some yurts, a small stage and a number of stalls have already been set up. The stands exhibit Shyrdaks, the traditional carpets or murals made of felt. Food and drinks will be served. And there will be a real wedding ceremony.

As long as the preparations are still going on, we use the time to do a short flight with the drone.
