From 30 August to 27 October 2019, the City Skyliner was an attraction in Trier.

It is currently the highest mobile observation tower in the world. The City Skyliner is a gyro tower with a cabin rotating up and down around a supporting mast. It can transport up to 60 passengers per trip to a height of 72 m.

From the above, you have a unique panoramic view of the city. Furthermore, the visitor is informed acoustically about the sights of the city during the journey.

More InformationThe access is barrier-free, and the cabin fully air-conditioned with comfortable seating. Although the City Skyliner weighs 270 tons and is a heavyweight, it takes up very little space so that it could be placed directly next to the Basilica of Constantine.
Thus, we have a unique view across the former throne room of the Roman Emperor.

The Trier Cathedral and the Church of Our Lady (Liebfrauenkirche) were visible. The Porta Nigra appeared between the towers.

In the south, we recognized the Palace Garden and the Trier Imperial Baths.

At the foot of the Skyliner lie the city center, the Basilica of Constantine, the Electoral Palace, and the Rheinische Landesmuseum.
Behind the cash desk, you could buy drinks at the Skyliner Bar.
The trip lasted 7 minutes and cost € 7.00 (children up to 10 years € 4.00)
