This time, our journey will lead us to Maishofen, located in the Salzburg region of Austria. For the first time, we are traveling with a tour group, taking the bus from Wittlich, Dreis, Salmtal, and Hetzerath, and passing through Schweich on the Moselle, Ramstein, Pirmasens, Landau in der Pfalz, Wörth am Rhein, Karlsruhe, Stuttgart, Munich, and Irschenberg, before reaching Kiefersfelden.

There, we cross the border into Austria and pass through Kufstein. South of Kufstein, we turn east and reach Saalfelden am Steinernen Meer via St. Johann in Tirol.
We are now only a few kilometers from Maishofen, which we reach at around 6:30 pm. We departed from Dreis at 7:30 am. During the approximately 700-kilometer journey, we made several mandatory stops for the drivers. The Kylltal Reisen bus met all requirements.

The hotel Quehenberger is modern and comfortable, offering everything you need for a pleasant stay.

Maishofen’s location is fantastic, at the intersection of Zell am See, Saalbach, and Saalfelden.

The wide valley, surrounded by the Steinernes Meer and Leogang Mountains to the north, the Kitzsteinhorn, Wiesbachhorn, and Großglockner to the south, the Schmittenhöhe to the west, and the Dienten Mountains to the east, is characterized by small villages and broad grazing areas surrounded by picturesque mountain peaks.
