Traben-Trarbach is located approx 40 km northeast of Trier on the Moselle.
From the ruins of the castle Grevenburg, high above the town on the right bank of the Moselle you have the best view of the town. The castle was built in 1350 by John III of Sponheim and blown up by the French in 1734.

Our walk starts at the bridge gate in Trarbach, which was built in1899 after the completion of the bridge over the Moselle. After a short walk through the pedestrian zone we cross the Moselle and reach the district Traben with the old post office and the Lorettahaus.
Right on the banks of the Moselle you find many famous hotels such as the Hotel Moselschlösschen and the Art Nouveau Hotel Bellevue.
At the end of our tour of Traben-Trarbach, we come to the old station, the seat of the Mayor’s Office.
