At sunset, the city center of Brussels seems to turn into a single restaurant. Everywhere there are tables in front of the doors and hungry locals and tourists are spoiled for choice.
But it is not quite as homogeneous as it seems. In the lanes Rue des Boucher and Petit Rue des Boucher the fish and especially the mussels offer predominates, immediately adjacent you find the Trattorias.
And then of course there are the bars. Brussels is known for its wide selection of beers. Every good bar offers at least ten types of beer, but some have up to 200. In specialized stores you can buy up to 400 different types of beer, including such exotic ones as raspberry and Trappist beer.
In between you can listen to the street musicians.
And everywhere special stores for chocolate which as a rule are decorated artistically.
Of course you find many discos, jazz bars, as well as opera, theater and concerts.

More InformationA lot of people who communicate in different languages, enjoy Brussels at night. The majority of the population of Brussels has an immigrant background. You find many diplomats and even more tourists. It is difficult to meet a native Belgian.
Between the Grand Place and Manneken Pis ( the Little man Pee is a landmark) is the greatest hustle, especially in front of the shops with the famous Belgian waffles.
If you want to immerse yourself in a multi-cultural city, Brussels is definitely a place to go.
