César Manrique, the most important artist of the Canary Island of Lanzarote has decisively influenced the picture of this island.
Today, his former residential building in the community Tahiche is a museum seat of the Fundación César Manrique (César Manrique Foundation).
After dropping his studies of Technical Architecture he graduated in art and painting. After a working period in Spain, he received a scholarship from the International Institute of Art Education to study American Art.
