The Grossglockner High Alpine Road, built in the 30s, connects the provinces of Salzburg and Carinthia. This most beautiful panoramic road in Austria is splendidly constructed and can be used only in summer.

Roman finds and reports show that an alpine pass probably existed here already since 1600 BC.

At the Edelweiss Peak with 8,435 ft above sea level, we reach the highest point.
From here you have the best panoramic view on the glaciers, the peak of the Grossglockner and the upwards winding road.
