Himalaya - A flight from Chengdu to Lhasa

A flight of Chengdu to Lhasa (Tibet, China) is an extraordinary experience.

Shortly after takeoff, the pilot pulls the aircraft on a steep upward flight in order to overfly the mountain peaks of the Himalaya, partially 22,965 ft height.

Snow-covered peaks, razor-sharp ridges, glaciers and valleys are lined up as far as the eye can see.

In the valley of the Brahmaputra, the aircraft lands in the desert-like landscape of the Tibetan plateau with an altitude of 11,482 ft next to water courses surrounded by sand dunes.
