There are both electric Eurocopter, as well as those with internal combustion engines. Usually, these are operated with ethanol, therefore the fire plumes look worse when they are.
This type of leisure activity increasingly finds followers. A set of skills and knowledge is required, and the prices have dropped strongly within the last few years. Also the quality of the helicopter, especially the batteries for the electric drive substantially improved; thus, the number of practical use cases, such as for filming, is increasing.
