Fuerteventura is the second-largest of the Canary Islands and at the same time the oldest one.
The island has very little rain and looks in many areas almost desertlike interspersed with single volcanoes.

In the Parque Natural de Corralejo you find great drifting dunes which already remind of the Sahara. The beach area is suitable for all kinds of water sports, especially sailing, windsurfing and kitesurfing.
