A Hop-On Hop-Off bus tour in Dubai is a great way to get an overview of the city. Various offers are available, we choose a ticket valid for 24 hours. As we only have a 7-hour stopover in Dubai, we can unfortunately not take advantage of all the offers included in the ticket.
Coming from the airport, we begin our tour at the Deira City Center Shopping Mall. The bus crosses the Dubai Creek with its Dhows, as the traditional fishing boats are named in Dubai.
Via the Khalid Bin Al Waled Road we continue to the Bur Juman Metro Station. From here the bus turns left into the Sheik Khalifa Bin Zayed Road.
From the World Trade Center it is only called Sheik Zayed Road. It is the most street in Dubai with the most significant buildings in Dubai. The Sheik Zayed Road extends approximately to the junction to the new Palm Island, Palm Jebel Ali.

The Jumeirah Road is not lined with high-rise buildings, but with one- and multi-family dwellings. In between, you find many hotel restaurants and known bars, as well as many hospitals and mosques.
Shortly before the Burj al Arab, the bus drives along a public beach The fine white sand looks inviting, but very few people are likely to bear the heat during the day there.
The tour continues to the Palm Jumeirah. At the top is the Hotel Atlantis with the Lost Chambers Aquarium.
On the way back, we leave the Dubai Marina with its beaches to the right and pass the Dubai Internet City, a free trade zone for Internet research institutions and Internet companies. Numerous internationally active technology enterprises have settled here.
Behind the Kempinski Hotel is the Mall of the Emirates with the largest artificial indoor ski hall worldwide. On the opposite side of the Sheik Zayed Road, the Mall of the World is currently under construction.
With 4,5 million square meters, it becomes the largest mall in the world and will be connected to the Mall of the Emirates by a covered air-conditioned bridge. If it is still too hot, one can cool down in the Chillout Ice Lounge in the Times Square. It is the first ice lounge in the Middle East.
The bus then takes us to the old city of Dubai with its Gold and Spice Souks. We still want to make a harbor cruise on a Dhow in Dubai Creek. The trip with the Dhow is also included in the bus ticket.
