Foxy’s Beach at Simon’s Town is one of three mainland colonies of penguins in South Africa.
Foxy Beach is part of Boulder’s Beach, and this in turn is part of the Table Mountain National Park. Boulder’s Beach marks that coastal section which is strewn with large distinctive granite boulders.

The penguins that live here are African penguins also called Jackass. They belong to the endangered species of bird.
They are under the protection of Sanccob (Southern African Foundation for the Conservation of Coastal Birds). Everybody can support Sanccob by the adoption of one or more penguins (www.sanccob.co.za).
