Arrival in Bangkok
In the early early morning, Bangkok welcomes us with the pouring rain, but this has no influence on the high temperatures.

We quickly get to know the enormous dimensions of the Suvarnabhumi International Airport. Endless conveyor belts and countless people shape the everyday life here.

Navalai River Resort
By taxi we go to our pre-booked hotel, the Navalai River Resort in Phra Athit Road. Within the next weeks, it will repeatedly serve us as accommodation.

In addition to the inviting rooms and the always friendly staff that meet our needs, the hotel combines several advantages. A fast functioning Internet access is in Thailand almost taken for granted.

A room with balcony to the Chao Phraya River was important for us. Here, one could forget the everyday stress in Bangkok best. The crossing ships and the ship movements at the express Boat pier no. 13 provide a permanent variety. Not far from the Khaosan Road and Rambuttri Alley, a preferred location especially for backpackers, the Express Boat is the ideal link to the Skytrain at pier no. 1. For the equivalent of 45 cents per person per trip, you can enjoy the ride on the river.

To the other comfort of the Navalai Resort belong spa area and a Travel Agency in the entrance area, where we have booked some day trips. On the roof is a swimming pool with an adjoining bar. The beautiful view over the rooftops of Bangkok is included in the price.

Also worth mentioning is the Aquatini Riverside restaurant with a large terrace.

From here one can observe the River Cruise dinner boats passing by in the evening.
