Upon arrival by ferry on Ko Chang Island, we need to arrange transportation to our booked hotel. We leave the ferry area and go to the street. Here we find some taxis.
We have booked the Paradise Resort & Spa which is almost in the middle of the island. We ask for the price. The price should range about € 18.-, which seems a bit high.
While we stand a bit helpless around, a small group of backpackers arrives. Obviously, they are also looking for a ride. We soon agree to rent the taxi together. Now we only pay € 2.50 per person.
The ride goes through hilly terrain. Impressive climbs must be overcome. The highest elevation on the island is 744 meters above sea level. We enjoy the wind in the open construction and have a chat with our fellow travelers.
On the way, we have a beautiful view of the sea. In addition, we pass some villages that stretch along the road. Besides hotels and restaurants, you will also find some shopping facilities.
Arrived at the hotel we move into a little bungalow with a nice terrace. Of course, air conditioning, a TV, and a free Wi-Fi connection are available.
On this evening we explore the Paradise Resort & Spa and beautiful sandy beach, which runs directly along the hotel complex.
