A festival like “El Entierro de la Sardina”, the burial of the sardine, is not only a feast for the eyes and a pleasure. It also costs a lot of money. Thus, the city of Murcia also tries to attract sponsors. Also, a large number of volunteers work on the design of the event. So it is not surprising that a photo session was agreed with the main sponsors.
Our host Daniel Robles took us to the Fábrica de Cerveza Estrella de Levante, the famous brewery on the outskirts of Murcia, the location of the first appointment. The second appointment is scheduled at Mercedes Benz Dimovil.

Here we meet the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Sardinera Association, the Chairman by Seniority, some of the Directors, the Doña Sardina, the mayor of San Pedro del Pinatar with a counselor, the marketing responsible of the brewery Estrella, and the Mercedes Benz representative in Murcia.
After a car convoy of brand-new Mercedes Benz and three police motorcycles, as accompanying vehicles, arrived for the convoy, the sponsors and the persons responsible for the festival took the first photos.

The photo shows the following persons, from left to right:
- Antonio Justicia López, Sardinereo
- Alberto Briones Ramos, Presidente de Grupo Apolo
- Gerente de DIMOVIL (concesionario Mercedes Benz) (Managing Director)
- Alicia Hernandez, Doña Sardina (Directora Creativa de Dolores Promesas)
- Gregorio Gonzáles Sánchez, Adjunto al Presidente de la Agrupación Sardinera
- Responsable de marketing de Estrella de Levante (Marketing Manager)
- José Antonio Sanchez López, President of Agrupación Sardinera (President)
- Alfonso López Rueda, Gran Pez (President and Presidente of Grupo postres Reina)
- Visitación Martinez Martinez, Alcaldesa de San Pedro del Pinatar (Mayor of San Pedro del Pinatar
- Alfonso Tormo Albadalejo, Contator de la Agrupación Sardinera

Afterward, the convoy leads to the Mercedes Benz Dimovil branch, for another photo shooting. The atmosphere was relaxed and it was a lot of fun.

A series of gimmicks were distributed. Everything that shone and flashed was in high demand.

Alfonso Tormo Albadalejo had glasses with a frame that changed their color. Of course, these glasses attracted the admiration of everyone.

Then the convoy moved to the city center. The accompanying police motorcycles kept the road free and blocked traffic from the side streets.

We were fortunate enough to be allowed to ride in a convertible so that we had free views on all sides while filming.

More InformationWhen we got to the Av. de la Constitución and the Gran Via del Escultor Francisco Salzillo and approached the Plaza Martínez Tornel, the crowds along the roads became increasingly dense. People were waiting for the arrival of the sardine in Murcia and the first parade.
