Hoi An Traditional Art Performance House - Vietnam

The Hoi An Traditional Art Performance House is in Nguyen Thai Hoc Street, No. 39. The theater offers live performances with Vietnamese folk music and folk dance every day.

Here, the viewer has a perfect opportunity to experience the facial expressions of the performers, every twitching of the wrists, and the intricate designs on the costumes and musical instruments at close range. Thus, it does not bother us that the theater is a little small and not quite comfortable.

During the show, the artists convey with a lot of enthusiasm and professionalism, insights into life and the old traditions.

A special feature is the Dan Bau, a Vietnamese stringed instrument, in the form of a monochord zither. Its sound is really appealing.

You do not have to understand the language, because of the English introduction for each song, as well as the sounds and movements, speak for themselves.

The performances take place daily at 5:30. The entrance fee is 100,000 VND (about 5 Euro)
