The Hotel De Martin is located in the center of San Lorenzo de El Escorial, right at the Plaza de la Constitución. We decide in favor of this hotel because it is only 200 m away from the Royal Site of San Lorenzo de El Escorial.
After our arrival by train, we take a taxi to the hotel and check in. An old stone house in typical Spanish style awaits us. We are prepared for the worst one, but the hotel turns out to be elegant and modern inside. It has been remodeled and renovated only two years ago.

More InformationThe reception is right at the entrance. On the ground floor is a passage to the restaurant Las Viandas. In addition to the Tapas bar and the dining room on the ground floor, there is another room on the first floor which is laid out for festivities.
On the upper floor of the Hotel De Martin is a reading corner. In a shelf, you find everything you need for the preparation of fresh coffee or tea. You can help yourself freely at any time.
The rooms are clean, and modern and tastefully decorated. Especially the showers in the bathroom line correspond to the latest taste.
One also had a creative idea for the smokers. A small courtyard, open to the top, was converted into a smoking island. In addition to the seating area are a number of plants, so you can feel comfortable here. Unlike hotels where you have to stand outside the door, this is an excellent solution.
The friendly staff at the front desk are always ready to help. The technology, especially the Internet, works very well.
Due to the location, the service, and the equipment, we can recommend the Hotel De Martin in San Lorenzo de El Escorial in good conscience.
