More InformationThey form the highest waterfall in Europe and the fifth highest waterfall in the world. The falls, formed from the Krimmler Ache River, overcome 380 m in three steps and belong to the most frequented sights of Austria.
The Krimml Waterfall Trail, a hiking trail built by the Austrian Alpine Association (OeAV) leads along and the waterfalls and offers breathtaking views.

You should bring a good condition when planning the ascent by foot. Or you might also take a taxi to the top of the falls and then walk along the waterfalls down to the valley.
Depending on the season, the water quantity of the Krimml Waterfalls changes depending on the season.

The largest flow is usually reached in early summer.
