On the way to the center of Lloret de Mar, we were coincidentally passing by the Monolit Festival at Placa Pere Torrent.
Monolit Festival is also the name of the company, which organizes festivals, competitions and sporting activities. The company helps creative amateur associations to showcase their talent by participating in their international festivals. Furthermore, the participants are familiarized with the culture and landscape of the respective host nation. This includes also dance, music, language, fine art, photography and theater.

More InformationDuring one week, the participants have the possibility to train and to explore the country. The crowning final is a gala evening where the participants demonstrate what they have learned. At the end they will receive a certificate.
The Monolit Festival was held under the motto “Wonderful world of flamenco”. We were impressed by vocals, guitar and dance of a flamenco group. Before we had to continue our way, we could admire the performance of modern dance.
