More InformationAfter a sightseeing tour we enjoy a lunch in the restaurant Titanic. It is known for its excellent Cambodian cuisine at a fair price. The huge restaurant has a terrace with beautiful views of the river and the express boat jetty.

We enjoy Amok, a Cambodian national dish. It is a curry made of fish and shrimp or chicken, which is steamed in either a coconut or in banana leaves.

Invigorated by the delicious meal, we make our way along the Preah Sisowath Quay to the Royal Palace.

Numerous people gather already in anticipation of the evening. Many street vendors prepare themselves, sort their offer or look for a favorable place for their sales.

A wedding takes place in a tent on the opposite side of the street. When we come here the next morning the celebration has still not ended.

For a while we watch people exercising on public fitness machines.

We pass the equestrian statue of Decho Meas Decho Yat, a warlord in the king’s service. Opposite is the monastery Wat Ounalom.

Captivated by the constantly increasing traffic, we see that the promenade is filling more and more.

In front of the royal palace, the amount of people is indescribable. Most people are waiting for the full moon and the evening fireworks. On occasion of the Phnom Penh Water Festival it takes place once a day.
While the darkness falls slowly, the illumination of the city is becomes more intense.

The sight of the rising reddish moon drags the people into its spell. We are fascinated by the hustle and bustle.
