In Stockholm, we chose the Radisson Blue Waterfront Hotel, which is right next to the Central Station and the new Stockholm Waterfront Congress Center. This is convenient for us because we attend a blogger conference for some days.

We arrive by train from Gothenburg at the central station and walk to the hotel. During the conference, we do not even have to go outside, because the hotel has a direct entry to the congress center. Besides, it is situated in the center of Stockholm and many sights are within walking distance. Also, the metro network is well developed, the next stop is at the central station. Even more remote areas of Stockholm are easy to explore from here.

The Radisson Blue Waterfront Hotel makes a very modern impression and the interior furnishings seems to be relatively new. Everything complies with the latest standard and the rooms leave nothing to be desired.

On the ground floor, a sumptuous breakfast buffet meets all requests.
The staff is very polite and helpful. The only point of criticism, that bothers us already at check-in, is the question, whether we would like to upgrade the room in order to have a better view. The cost of the upgrade is € 25.00 per day. Since we stay rarely in the room during the day, we reject this. Yet, such a question is unpleasant, since it implies that the booked room does not have any beautiful view.
Later we look around and find out that it was not worth it anyway. The rooms on the upper floors have a bit more view but still look at the huge roof of the congress center, which is really not worth seeing. At the same time, we do not want to overestimate this point. Who wants to afford himself the hotel is certainly in good hands here.

One evening we are on the road with friends and look for a place to get a drink to end the day. We go to Scandic Continental Hotel on the other side of Central Station. The hotel has a bar with a terrace on the roof where you can sit comfortably and chat.

At dusk, we enjoy a beautiful view of the city. But the deep dark blue sky fascinated us even more. You experience these colors only in the far north.

Unfortunately, the terrace closes at nightfall and we have to go inside. So we do not stay long and make our way back to our hotel.
