The underground Christmas market in Traben-Trarbach was initiated some years ago and attracts inter-regional visitors today. The official name Mosel-Wine Night-Market indicates, that it is not a typical Christmas market. Here, one can also discover a lot about wine, enjoyment and culture.

The offer
The hustle and bustle primarily takes place in underground vaults, some dating back to the 18th century. They used to serve as a wine cellar, today as market halls.

In the cozy corners you can enjoy a glass of wine. In addition to the big groined vault cellar of the Moselschlößchens and the cellar of the Old Town Hall, the cellar of the winery Axel Emert opened as wine-night-cellar this year.
Local craftsmen, artists and merchants offer Christmassy decoration and gifts. The culinary pleasure is not missing.

Next to the entrance of the wine cellar Axel Emert, campers get a glimpse of what it feels like to sleep in a barrel. These camping-wine-Barrels can be rented at the campsite in the district Rißbach.

Ice rink
The ice rink set up at the old train station brings a lot of fun, especially for children. The plastic plates allow skating similar to skating on natural ice like.
