More InformationThe guards are mostly students, primary reservists in the Canadian Forces. The Changing of the Guard ceremony is the only replica of the ceremony at Buckingham Palace in North America.

As a non-Brit one is skeptically towards the spectacle. Only, when one is dealing with Canadian history, you realize that the British have won major battles against a numerically superior opponent and you can recognize the meaning of these parades.
Reason for the military superiority was their discipline and exact implementation of what has been learned in exercises.
