Visitors, interested in Canadian culture, should not miss a visit of the Parliament in Ottawa.

Free guided tours are offered for the individual buildings. Tickets are available at the visitor’s entrance below the Peace Tower.

The ceremonial baton of the government spokesman amidst the flags of the provinces underlines the influence of British culture.
In 1916, a fire destroyed the Center Block in large parts; it was rebuilt again until 1920.
