The Alster canal tour by boat starts at Jungfernstieg, a street on the southern shore of the Inner Alster Lake in Hamburg.
Across the Inner and Outer Alster Lake we reach the Alster canals. Past the best residential areas and through wildly overgrown channels, you experience Hamburg from a completely different side.
Despite the fact that the weather is not always the best in Hamburg, the people in Hamburger use the first sunrays to have fun on and around the water.
This huge recreational area offers a variety of water sports such as boating, canoe paddling, sailing, windsurfing or swimming.
The canal tour leads us along the Osterbeck channel, the Barmbeker branch canal, past the bay with the Cafe Sommer-Terassen.

On the Goldbekkanal the boat makes a short side trip to the Stadtparksee, the lake in the city park, before we reach the Rondeelteich, the first address of Hamburg.
We return to the Outer and Inner Alster Lake before we reach the end of our Alster canal tour at Jungfernstieg.
