After visiting Mount Emei and the Wannian Temple, we visit the Baoguo Temple at the entrance to Emeishan.
It is one of the most important Buddhist temples and a National Key Buddhist Temple in the Han Chinese Area.

The Baoguo Temple dates from the Ming Dynasty. Besides, the main hall, there are several other halls, such as the Maitreya Hall or the Tripitaka Pavilion.

During the Qing Dynasty, the Kangxi Emperor changed the name of the temple. Above the entrance of the main hall hangs a nameplate of the temple with his handwriting.
