In the morning after our arrival, we set out for a first discovery tour of Barcelona. We have booked a hotel near the university, since it was in the center and has good transport connections.

From the University, the Ronda de la Universidad, a major thoroughfare, leads directly to the Placa de Catalunya, the central traffic knot of the city.

Organic Market, on the right side. It is so individually designed that it excited us immediately. The pasta still is produced manually inside and there are several cozy corners where you can retreat. The goods offered are mainly food products from the region.

Slowly, the space comes to life, but people crowd already in and around the red tourist buses. But this is changing rapidly. The place is park, playground, meeting point and transport hub at the same time, and is framed by an impressive architecture. The Casa Rocamora particularly stands out.
