The Ile d’Orleans is located about 5 km northeast of the city of Quebec.
In nice weather a trip to the island is really worthwhile.
Located in the Saint Lawrence River, it offers a good view of the skyline of Quebec City.
The Île d’Orléans seems to have a particularly mild micro climate, since namely wine is grown. The landscape reminds very strongly of the French province.
Furthermore one has a first-class view of the 83-meter-high Montmorency Falls.
