The Loro Parque is a major attraction of Tenerife.
Besides species-appropriate housing, aviaries and aquariums, a number of show events with parrots, dolphins, sea lions and orcas take place within a tropical park.
The greatest significance of the Loro Parque is in parrot breeding in a special breeding center for endangered species. In total, more than 3,000 parrots from 350 different species are kept in the park.
Worth seeing is the Thai Village, which was produced by Thai craftsmen, and was visited several times by members of the Thai royal family.
