Norbulingka in Lhasa, Tibet -China, once served as the summer residence of the Dalai Lama.
Norbulingka means Jewelled Park and was built as a palace for the 7th Dalai Lama in the 18th century.

Today Norbulingka is a public museum and was declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 2001.
