After a brief blessing in the presence of Mr. Azamat Zhamankulov (Kyrgyz Deputy Culture Minister) and Mrs. Kimberly A. Rosen (Mission Director USAID / Kyrgyz Republic), the caravan sets in motion.

The caravan moves down A. Shakirova Street and turns into Masalieva Street. Via General Nurmatov B Street it goes to Lenin Avenue.
It is always nice to see the colorful costumes. But the traditional everyday objects, such as the children’s creche and the animals exert a fascination.

Watching the hustle and bustle, one can imagine how turbulent it was in Osh at the time when the caravans of the Silk Road reached the city.

Not only the tourists but also the locals are enthusiastic about the colorful retinue.

Daniel Noll (uncornered market) and Kyle Gunther, both working with USAID BGI, also mixed with the caravan participants.

On the square in front of the city administration, one makes a small break for photo shootings, before the caravan enters the Toktogul Park under the sound of the fanfare.
