The port of Piraeus is the largest passenger port in Europe. Cruise liners, ferries and excursion boats permanently reach or leave the port. Piraeus serves as a port already since 500 BC.
The arrival and departure of the ships is so interesting that we can spend some hours of the afternoon and the evening here.
Another reason to stay here is the free public Internet access in the port. As a complete contrast, we visit two marinas in the area of Athens the next day.
