Wan Chai, a former fishing village is now a district of Hong Kong.
Here, right on Victoria Harbour, is the Renaissance Harbour View Hotel Hong Kong (formerly New World Harbour View Hotel).
The pool of the hotel on the 11th floor is among the largest in Hong Kong.

More InformationThe views over Kowloon was terrific, unfortunately in 1997, the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Center was built right in front of it. What remains is an overwhelming view from the hotel rooms over the Victoria Harbour with its people, boats and ships.
The floor to ceiling windows convey the feeling to float over the port.

Wan Chai, attaining world fame by the movie The world the Suzie Wong, has developed from a red light district to a business and financial center of Hong Kong.
As a pedestrian one moves over the streets on a pedestrian area with several floors. The enormous skyscrapers give the visitors the feeling to be an ant.
