After Dasha and Sergei picked us up at Manas airport, we have a special request. In Tajikistan, we lost the quick lock of the camera tripod and only a temporary solution allows us to use the tripod rather badly. To get a better connection we need two screws, but they have a special thread. We have already tried to get some in Osh, unfortunately in vain.

Our two companions drive with us to Bishkek and thanks to Dasha’s skillful persuasions, we manage to get two screws. But the retaining clips on the screws still need to be removed, which the seller does immediately. Overjoyed, we are now ready for the next part of our journey, which leads us to the Burana Tower.
Before departure, we go for a quick lunch in a restaurant. Overall, we are surprised by the first impressions in Biskek. Both the department stores and the restaurants convey a very proper and modern impression. The impression often is in a discrepancy to the facades inside on the outside.

After lunch, we head straight east through the plain of the Chu River. The green of the fields reveals that the people here carry out intensive farming.

We pass the entertainment complex and restaurant Hawei, which we will get to know later, and bend direction the south in the city of Tokmok.
